Anything you want to talk about, or by this point in the semester/year/pre-holiday frenzy are you just lucky to be able to find your way out of bed in the morning?

New since last post:

Skinstore: 20% off most purchases through 12/2 (there are some exclusions); use code HOL20.

Skinterra: 15% off, plus a mystery deluxe sample (that they say is customized according to what else is in your order) valued at $15-20, through 11/30. Use code NOV15.

Stila: Score a free Runway Look palette (an $82 value) with any $30 purchase; use code RUNWAY. (I don’t have an ending date on this one, sorry!) 15% off any purchase through 12/14; use code DAILYMAKEOVER.

Jouer Cosmetics: 25% off any purchase through 12/14; use code BLUSH09.

MAC Cosmetics: Not a sale as such, but free shipping on any purchase through 11/21; use code MACHOLIDAY.

Sephora: Same deal — not a sale, but free shipping with code S4FM126 (or code HOLIDAYSHIP; they both seem to work, but I have no ending date for either code). Or, code DEAL will get you a free deluxe sample of Korres Guava Body Butter; code CUPCAKE will get you a free deluxe sample of Sephora brand Vanilla Cupcake Bath and Shower Bubbles. (Only one code may be used with any transaction; purchases over $50 automatically ship free.)

Previously posted sales still going on:

Urban Decay: 30% off through 11/20 with checkout code FNFW1 • Tarte: 25% off through 12/31 with code ecoscene25 • Philosophy: 25% off through 11/20 with checkout code ENJOY • Origins: 25% off through 11/19 (ENDS TODAY), with checkout code NOVFF. • Too Faced: 30% off through 12/31 with code LUCKYBREAKS

Question of the Week:

Next Thursday, many of us will be sitting down to turkey dinners (or appropriate vegetarian/vegan alternatives) with family, friends, or a good book. Is Thanksgiving a “dress-up” holiday for you? Is there makeup, and jewelry, and fancy clothes, and the careful coiffing of hair? Is it “come as you are, even if that’s sweats and a stained T-shirt?” Is it “I’ve been cooking the freaking turkey all day, so this is what you get?”

Door number 3 for me. Though I will wear nice slacks, a nice cotton sweater, have my hair arranged, and since I spend a lot of effort on skin care,my face will look good without makeup. I might wear lip gloss.

Yeah, I guess Thanksgiving as a dress-up holiday is really only for the small children, huh? I never know what to wear.
